Basement Waterproofing in Granite Falls

Tim W. Case Study

PROBLEM:

The homeowner was selling the home, and it had an unfinished basement that would leak during heavy rains. Water intrusion could be seen on the walls as well as puddles on the floor. This is a walkout basement, and the door was letting water in under it during the heaviest rains. This was noticed during the home inspection and needed to be corrected to sell the home. They had a couple of estimates before we looked at it for them.

SOLUTION:

Marcus inspected the basement. He identified a groundwater intrusion problem in the basement. He also noticed that water was coming under a walkout door in the back during heavy rains. It was evident that water was seeping through some of the walls as well. After a careful inspection, Marcus developed a scope of work that would keep the basement dry.

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • 84-feet of Fast Track drainage
  • Zoeller 1/3 HP pump with 20-gallon pump basin
  • 15-mil Wall Liner on all walls above the system
  • 3-feet of Trench Drain in front of the walkout door

Our Field Supervisor, Tom, was out after the project, and the new owner was delighted with the result.
